I-TRAIN #12: CARTA tutorial
18 February 2022 (11:00 CET)
The next I-TRAIN tutorial will provide tutorials on CARTA, the Cube Analysis and Rendering Tool for Astronomy. This is a new image visualization tool that has been developed specifically for interferometric data, including data from ALMA, the VLA, and the SKAO. The tutorial will cover image rendering and matching, spectral line analysis, and catalogue visualization.
The tutorial will use CARTA version v3-beta2, which should be downloaded from the CARTA website and installed beforehand. CARTA is available for both Linux and Mac.
More information on the I-TRAIN tutorial series, including videos and presentations from prior tutorials, are available from the I-TRAIN website.
